St. PETERSBURG, FL (Wednesday, December 1, 2021) First Unity Spiritual Campus, a faith community in St. Petersburg, FL has announced the appointment of Natasha A. Pierre as Executive Director, effective December 1, 2021.
Pierre is a professional speaker, author, life and career coach, and she has over 20 years of combined experience in corporate development, nonprofit management, media relations and political strategy.
“It is an exciting time for our campus,” said Rev. Dr. Temple Hayes, Spiritual Leader, “and we are looking forward to how Natasha will further expand our vision to express unity to the community and to the world.”
Natasha will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day organizational functions and administration including marketing, community engagement, programs, special events, operations, and staff.
“We are at a defining moment in history when people need more than just one service each week from their faith communities,” said Pierre. “There is a need for services that support body, mind and spirit. At First Unity, we create space to meet those needs and for our community to connect, evolve and thrive.”
On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 7:15 pm, First Unity Spiritual Campus will host the local premiere of “We Are Never Alone”, a film that raises awareness for suicide prevention and mental wellbeing. The film features Deepak Chopra, social entrepreneur Poonacha Machaiah, actress and humanitarian, Gabriella Wright, Rev. Dr. Temple Hayes, and more. The film is directed by Michel Pascal.
“First Unity is lauded globally as a trailblazer in teaching practical application of spiritual principles to the human experience,” said Rev. Dr. Hayes. “We are honored to be included in the film, to have had our work featured at Carnegie Hall, and now to host the film locally.”
Natasha has also been a mental health advocate for over 20 years, and currently serves as the Dean of Mental Health with First Unity’s Institute for Leadership and Lifelong Learning International (illli.org).
“Many people often connect with their faith community for mental health support before connecting with a mental health provider,” said Pierre. “I am grateful that First Unity recognizes that recovery can mean both faith and therapist.”
