Rev. Dr. Aileen Curtin

Associate Minister

Dr. Ellen “Aileen” Curtin serves as the Dean of Education for the Campus. She is a native of Ireland and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a diploma in Religious Instruction from Mary Immaculate College of Education, Limerick Ireland, a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Wesleyan University, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership form the University of North Texas.

She taught K-7th grade for sixteen years in Ireland, Kansas, and Texas. She served as a professor at Texas Wesleyan University from 2000-2018. During her tenure at Wesleyan she taught undergraduate and graduate students in the school of education, served as the founding director of the Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) degree program and chaired doctoral dissertations.

During her tenure as a faculty member at Texas Wesleyan she published and presented locally, nationally, and internationally. She is a textbook author and expert in the field of second language education and Gaelic Language teaching in United States and Canada, and an exhibited artist. She is the recipient of several awards including Teacher of the Year in 1997, and Earl Brown Distinguished Faculty Award (2013).

Dr. Curtin is a certified Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), a Life Coach, Reiki Master, Artist, and Ordained Minister.
